Green Peas openParGPsclosePar -- compact dwarf starbursts at z > 0.2 -- are analogous to high-redshift sources responsible for reionising the Universe. Contrary to theory comma XMM-Newton observations have already shown that the X-ray emission from these sources can exceed any known limits for purely star-forming systems. In addition comma the X-ray spectrum from each GP previously studied were all dramatically different comma indicating a diverse array of X-ray production mechanisms. Here we propose extended observations of the two X-ray- brightest GP galaxies known comma to identify their X-ray power source via sensitive X-ray spectral modelling variability comma together with broadband spectral energy distribution decomposition.
