Raw data are stored in this dataset, which was used for the publication titled "A step to microplastic formation: Microcracking and associated surface transformations of recycled LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, and PP plastics exposed to UV radiation" that is published in Polymer Degaradation and Stability.

UV_exposure_effect_on_mass_of_plastic - Data on mass loss of recycled plastics during UV exposure

DSC_set1_cryst_temp; DSC_set2_cryst_temp and DSC_set3_cryst_temp - Data on the change in crystallinity determined with DSC after UV exposure.

ATR_FTIR_spectra - Data on the change in chemistry of recycled plastics during UV exposure

HT_SEC_molar_mass - Data on the changes in molar mass and dispersity of recycled plastics during UV exposure

Microscopy - Data on the microcrack formation of recycled plastics during UV exposure
