This interview is part of the Women, Risk and Aids Project (1989-90) archive which was created as part of the Reanimating Data Project (2018-20).<br>Anonymised transcript of interview with Karen. She has very strong, open relationships with her family, which is where she got some of her sex education - a lot of it was from friends too. There was some sex education at school, though she notes it was based on assumptions of heterosexuality, despite having an openly gay form teacher. Karen is using the pill as her main method of contraception, after her and her friends visited a Brook sexual health clinic. She would be happy to use condoms in future sexual relationships, and is enjoying her current one with her partner.
