Whole genome sequence of strain SL3-2-4, type strain of Gandjariella thermophila gen. nov., sp. nov.

This study reports the findings on a new thermophilic actinomycete genus belonging to the family Pseudonocardiaceae based on phenotypic data and the phylogenetic analysis of SSU rRNA gene sequences. Characterization of the new genus was also performed by comparing it with the phylogenetically closely related genera Thermotunica, Goodfellowiella, Actinoalloteichus, Streptoalloteichus, Crossiella, and Kurtzneria. During an investigation of the thermophilic actinomycete diversity from a geothermal area in Indonesia, a mycelium-forming actinomycete was isolated from soil forest (under bamboo trees) near the Cisolok geyser, a geothermal area in West Java, Indonesia. In order to propose new taxon, the genome sequence of the type strain should be available for further studies. Therefore it should be deposited at GenBank or EMBL-EBI or DDBJ.
