VPRS 15786 Photographic Images, Film Negatives, Single Number, PB prefix, SECV 37

This series comprises black-and-white and a few colour film negatives. Sizes are c. 150 x c. 115 mm, c. 110 x c. 100 mm and c. 90 x c. 60 mm.This series' PB prefix might indicate it was created by or for the Publicity Branch.Some negatives carry a single digit number as well as their PB number. However, this was created by a device that recorded the number of each frame as it was exposed in the camera and has nothing to do with the arrangement of this series.Some colour negatives (e.g. 419ff, two of the three items numbered 1755) carry a number from another sequence. This is a multiple number sequence with an "A" prefix, written as "A 35814 - C - 6". The last number appears to represent a frame number for a particular subject. Some negatives in SECV 0001 are similarly numbered.One of the two items labelled PB 1016 (Unit 2) is also numbered "9-304". It may have been top-numbered from SECV 0023.Several colour negatives in box 6 (2663ff) have both "A" numbers and numbers from a separate two-number sequence (i.e. the primary number is the negative number and the secondary number is the frame number for that subject).Includes portraits.
