Outbred Pleurodeles waltl genome project. Pleurodeles waltl strain:TK-F8

The goal is to establish genome information necessary to promote developmental and regeneration research using an outbred line of an emerging model organism, the Iberian ribbed newt (Pleurodeles waltl). This will be achieved by performing high-accuracy long-read sequencing with HiFi reads, chromosome-level assembly using Hi-C, and gene annotation using massive transcriptome data.
