Dataset: From Legacy-Making to the Development of the Global Emotional Comfort Index

This dataset supports the development and validation of the Global Emotional Comfort Index (GECI) within oncology nursing. The data is structured following a methodological development design (DEXPLOS):

1. Qualitative and Evidence Analysis (ATLAS.ti): Contains the project file where the syntactic content analysis was performed. This analysis was specifically used to contrast the empirical indicators derived from the nursing narrative (analysed via Fawcett’s CTE system) against existing scientific literature. This process ensured that the GECI is grounded in both clinical practice and global evidence.

2. Statistical Validation Analysis (Jamovi): Includes the databases (.omv and .csv formats) containing the evaluations from two expert panels: (1) Theoretical-Clinical Panel (n=12): Validation of the verbal items of the index, and (2) Visual-Semiotic Panel (n=9): Validation of the AI-generated facial expressions. Includes calculations for I-CVI, Aiken’s V, and Modified Kappa, demonstrating the psychometric robustness of the instrument.
