European businesses and public administration.<br>Topics: satisfaction with: the way public administration deals with companies in the own country, the ease of getting reliable information from public authorities in the own country; efficiency of public administration in the own country with regard to requests of the company; impact of public administration services in the own country on company’s activities; assessment of each of the following issues as obstacle to the company’s activities in the own country: time needed to obtain permits and licences, costs for permits and licences, tax compliance costs, notary’s fees and stamp duties, customs controls and formality-related costs, proceedings for contract enforcement, procedures for dispute settlement, inspections by authorities, lack of predictable legislation in the own country, existence of an informal economy; assessment of each of the following issues as obstacle to starting a business in the own country: number of procedures, time required, costs of start-up procedures, minimum capital required, need for permits and licences; satisfaction with: availability of online public administration services, user-friendliness of online forms; development of dealing with tax administration in the own country in the last five years; difficulty of filling and paying the following taxes and contributions in the own country: corporate tax, property tax, VAT, social security contributions; assessment of each of the following issues as obstacle to the company’s activities in the own country: labour legislation, health and safety requirements, labour costs; participation of the company in a public procurement procedure in the own country in the past two years; importance of selected costs with regard to taking part in a public procurement procedure: human resources, financial resources; assessment of each of the following issues as obstacle to the company’s participation: time needed for the entire process, insufficient clarity of requirements, excessive qualification requirements, too large contract value, too much weight on the price as award criterion, uncompetitive practices, risks for complaints and litigation by unsuccessful tenderers, low quality of electronic procurements services, risks of late or non-payment; assessment of each of the following issues as obstacle to the company’s participation in national support programmes in the own country: finding information on programmes, administrative documents needed for the application procedure, time needed for selection procedure, fairness of the selection procedure; appropriateness of the national support programmes with the needs of the company.
