16S rRNA bacteria - metagenome from the oil reservoir

Despite numerous published articles on oilfield ecosystems, there is a lack of data on the structure and functioning of microbial communities in many oilfields and wells. One of these little-studied deposits is the supergiant Romashkino located in Tatarstan (Russia). In the present study, the composition of the bacterial community and the number of functional genes encoding sulfate reduction and rhamnolipid production were examined in crude oil samples from four wells of the Romashkinskoye field, differing in oil / water ratios.
