Microbial rhizosphere community in temperate mixed beech and spruce forests in southern Germany

The goal was to assess the microbial (bacteria and fungi) rhizosphere community after periods of natural drought at two different mixed spruce and beech forest sites to estimate the potential for isolating bacteria and fungi with plant growth-promoting and stress resistance properties.
