This dataset is human-normalized nighttime light data for the Loess Plateau, with a spatial resolution of 1 km. The nighttime light data is sourced from the National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC) under the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The dataset is produced through three processing steps: preprocessing, projection, and normalization. Strict quality inspections have been carried out for both the accuracy of the source data and the entire processing workflow. The data meets relevant technical regulations and standards in terms of data integrity, logical consistency, positional accuracy, attribute accuracy, edge-matching accuracy, and data currency, with excellent and reliable quality. It can be applied to research and applications in fields such as geographic science, environmental science, ecology, socio-economic and population studies.
