资源简介:
Road traffic is the activity with the greatest contribution to air pollutant emissions in the city of Madrid, as it happens in most of the large metropolitan areas of the world. The calculation of these emissions requires detailed information on the typology and characteristics of the vehicles circulating in the municipality of Madrid. The restrictive measures imposed to combat the COVID-19 pandemic led to a decrease in road traffic in 2020 and the emissions associated with this sector were significantly reduced compared to previous years. Thanks to the Madrid 360 Environmental Sustainability Strategy and the Roadmap to climate neutrality in 2050, 2020 is expected to be a turning point that lays the foundations for a continued reduction in emissions from the sector. The study of the circulating fleet for the year 2022 reveals that diesel fuel continues to be the majority energy source in typologies such as light and heavy vehicles and private cars, although it is worth noting the increase in recent years of vehicles powered by fuels and / or alternative technologies in sectors such as taxi, VTC or the EMT bus fleet. For this reason, the General Directorate of Sustainability and Environmental Control (Environment and Mobility Government Area) has directed and promoted the realization of the Study of the Circulating Park of the city of Madrid, which already has several editions.
