This Bioproject aims to generate high-quality nuclear and extranuclear (chloroplast and mitochondrial) genome assemblies for diverse bryophyte species using a multi-platform sequencing approach. By integrating PacBio and Nanopore long-read sequencing with Illumina NovaSeq short-read data, we seek to achieve highly accurate and contiguous assemblies that will serve as valuable genomic references for evolutionary, phylogenetic, and functional studies. The project encompasses whole-genome sequencing, comparative genomics, and structural variation analysis to uncover genetic adaptations in bryophytes. The resulting data will provide insights into genome evolution, organellar inheritance, and adaptation mechanisms of bryophytes to extreme environments. This Bioproject will host multiple SRA and Biosample submissions, contributing to the global efforts in bryophyte genomics and biodiversity conservation.
