资源简介:
Mangrove sediments represent one of the most biogeochemically active ecosystems on Earth, serving as crucial interfaces for carbon sequestration and organic matter turnover. In this study, we conducted a depth-resolved metagenomic survey of sediments collected from the Pulau Ubin mangrove, Singapore, to explore microbial diversity and functional potentials across redox gradients. This project involves shotgun metagenomic sequencing of 50 sediment samples collected from three mangrove sites on Pulau Ubin, Singapore: Chek Jawa, Ubin Living Lab, and Jalan Durian. Samples were obtained along shoreline transects at multiple depth intervals (0 to 90 cm) to investigate microbial diversity and functional potential across vertical gradients in tropical mangrove ecosystem.
