Simple download service (Atom) of the dataset: Gravitary envelope of alpine ski area in Haute-Savoie

Space in which the location of the ski lifts and the configuration of the terrain allow the presence of skiers (and similar practices), even in the absence of slopes.
This envelope corresponds to the snow-covered areas accessible to skiers from the top of the ski lifts of a ski area (within the meaning of Article R.122-4 of the Planning Code), and driving them naturally by gravity to the feet on a ski slope or a ski lift departure from the same ski area.
It includes “off-piste” areas, but does not have any area unsuitable for skiing due to the difficulty of the terrain (rock bars, too steep slopes, avalanche equipment...), too dense afforestation, a ban
regulations (to ensure the conservation of animal species...) or snow conditions too random.
This envelope cannot be equated with the right-of-way of the alpine ski slopes or the contour of the ski area (within the meaning of Article R. 122-4 of the Urban Planning Code).
It only allows us to have an approximation of it, in keeping with the principle that ski slopes must allow a ski lift to be used again in the same ski area.
It proves useful in terms of graphical representation of the right-of-way of ski areas and on a practical level, to locate the construction of runways and snowmaking facilities located on a “virgin site” and “off-site”
Virgin" (notions taken into account in the definition of new structuring tourist units).

All ski areas accessible from the resorts of Haute-Savoie are represented, served by at least 3 ski lifts authorised to operate.
