2021 ECS NO3 transformation rate and hydrological data

This dataset contains comprehensive biogeochemical and physical parameters collected during the August 2021 Research Cruise focusing on the Changjiang (Yangtze River) Estuary. The study was part of the assessment of marine carbon storage and the potential for blue carbon enhancement, alongside investigations into hypoxia and acidification processes. The data include high-resolution vertical profiles and surface measurements of: Physical & Basic Chemical Parameters: Temperature, Salinity, Turbidity, Total Suspended Matter (TSM), and Chlorophyll-a (Chl-a). Nutrients: Nitrate (NO3-), Nitrite (NO2-), Ammonium (NH4+), and Urea. Nitrogen Cycling Dynamics: Key rates including Absolute Ammonium Uptake (NaU), Specific Nitrate Uptake Rate (vNaU), and Nitrate Lifetime, as well as Nitrate (AU) and Urea (UU) uptake rates determined via 15N stable isotope tracer techniques. Data Structure: Parameters with standard deviations are labeled with the suffix _SD. Sampling stations cover the river-sea continuum of the Changjiang Estuary to the inner shelf of the ECS.
