This repository contains the curated time-series data and system dynamics (SD) model used in the study:Araki, W., & Nagamatsu, A. “Dynamic Material Flow Analysis of Critical Minerals in the Special Steel Supply Chain Utilizing System Dynamics.”The study develops a Dynamic Material Flow Analysis (DMFA) model that integrates conservation-based Material Flow Analysis (MFA) with System Dynamics to analyze critical-mineral flows embedded in Japan’s special steel supply chain. The model reproduces historical production, shipments, and inventories using annual data and is designed to support policy and practice regarding the circular economy, recycling, and economic security.This record provides the Vensim model file (Special Steel DMFA_V1.0.mdl), the input time-series dataset (inputdata.xlsx), the simulation outputs used for figures and error metrics (outputdata.xlsx), and supporting documentation (Readme.txt) to facilitate replication and reuse.
