Perceptions about the use and knowledge of antibiotics in adolescent and adult mothers in Ecuador

The data presented here was collected through interviewing mothers using a structured questionnaire seeking medical attention for their child (<5 years old) with upper respiratory tract infection in four health centers and hospitals in Ecuador. Adolescent mothers more frequently misused and knew less about antibiotics compared to adult mothers, though knowledge values were low in both groups.
