资源简介:
The Conference Report accompanying the consolidated Appropriations Act, 2005 (H. Rpt. 108- 792) requested that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), in consultation with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), report to Congress on mercury contamination in the Great Lakes, with trend and source analysis. This report does not attempt to report on all of the many aspects of mercury contamination in the Great Lakes. It is limited to the following two primary components: Analysis of the atmospheric transport and deposition of U.S. and Canadian anthropogenic mercury emissions to the Great Lakes using the NOAA HYSPLIT-Hg model; and Illustrative literature data regarding trends in Great Lakes mercury contamination.
