No. 9-10: Lucky and no longer lonesome Dick (correct) Lemon, 25, of Clovis, New Mexico, gets kissed by Misses Rickey Pometti, left, and Carolyn Allen. He had written to L.A. Chamber of Commerce for letters and two girls took up correspondence and then went to ship here on arrival from Korea to give him further cheering. 'I was lonely out there,' Lemon said. 11-12: Misses Rickey Pometti and Carolyn Allen present flowers to Capt. Lawrence Daspit and Rear Admiral W.V. Oregan. They represented L.A. Chamber of Commerce. 13-14: Dockside shots show crowd going aboard cruiser Los Angeles. Ship is at Berth 18, Long Beach, will have open house today, Armed Forces Day."
