Sculptor and Sextans dwarf spheriodal galaxies

Recent studies of the Draco dwarf spheroidal galaxy(dSph) using XMMNewtonobservations show that the Xray source population is dominated by accretingwhite dwarfs(AWDs).(Saeedi et al, submitted A\\A, 2018; A\\A 2016; MNRAS, 2018).Among the dSphs, which are satellites of the Milky Way, there are only twodSphs, which have similar distances to the distance of the Draco dSph, butnoticeable higher stellar masses. Sculptor dSph (M 2.3 106 M ) and the SextansdSph (M 0.44 106 M ) with the distances of 90 kpc, have been never observed byXMMNewton. We propose to observe these two dSphs for the first time, mainly inorder 1) to perform the multiwavelength study of Xray sources aimingclassification and study of AWDs. 2) to compare the population of AWDs of different dSphs. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
