Architectural Evidence System: Chedi Database
收藏资源简介:
A structured research dataset documenting chedi and stupa architecture, compiled by Thiparat Pilunthasukala for The ArtHistory.org’s Architectural Evidence System (AES). Version 2026.10 contains 80 catalogue records, 534 architectural component entries, 100 dating claims, and 36 relationships between monuments. Records cover Ayutthaya, Lanna, Hariphunchai, Lopburi, Bagan, and India. An Open Collections export maps the records to 46 metadata fields. The 26 Ayutthaya sample records derive from the compiler’s 2016 master’s independent study at Silpakorn University. Draft English and Japanese translations accompany these records; Thai remains the source language. This is a provisional research release: 60 records are under review and 20 are stubs. Dating claims and stylistic relationships represent attributed interpretations rather than established facts. Some references and page locators remain incomplete or require verification. The 80 records should not be interpreted as 80 distinct monuments, as legacy duplicate records remain. No photographs or thesis PDF are included. Media entries describe schematic or interpretive visualisations and are not archaeological evidence.
