To gain insight into the role of PHR2 in regulating root colonization by the AM fungus Rhizophagus irregularis DAOM 197198, we compared the root transcriptome of phr2 mutant at low phosphate (25 micromolar), a PHR2 overexpression line at high phosphate (500 micromolar) and wild-type (Nipponbare) plants at both phosphate levels with (AM) and without (Mock) inoculation with Rhizophagus irregularis. Paired-end reads were obtained using Illumina HiSeq4000 sequencing.
