RICONTRANS XML Database
收藏资源简介:
The EU-funded project RICONTRANS investigates the thousands of Russian icons and other religious art objects that were brought from Russia to the Balkans between the 16th and 20th centuries, and are preserved today in monasteries, churches, and museum collections across the region. The RICONTRANS database, developed using the SYNTHESIS information system, consolidates data for a rich collection of records on artefacts (Objects) and their transfers (Object Transfers, Routes), together with a wide range of related information, including primary and secondary sources (Archival Sources, Books, Newspapers and Periodicals/Reviews, Oral History Sources, Web Sources, Source Passages, Bibliography), historical figures, historical events, locations, organisations, collections, and other entities. The data is provided in a well-structured XML format. Each entity (for example, an Object, an Object Transfer, or an Archival Source) is stored in a separate XML file, with specific fields referencing the XML files of related entities. For instance, the field "\Object Transfer\Transferred Object\Object" in the XML file of an Object Transfer points to the XML file of the corresponding Object.
