This statistic displays the key numbers of the Milan Fashion Week in Italy in 2016. As of the year 2016, the total income of the Italian fashion event Milan Fashion Week was of 50.5 million euros. In addition, it is worth to be noticed the per capita average visitor spending: over 1.9 thousand euros. The Milan fashion Week is the most important event related to fashion in Italy and it was formally introduced in the year 1958. It is part of a wider range of fashion shows (Big Four) taking place all over the word which encompasses the cities of New York, London, and Paris. The Milan Fashion Week takes place twice a year. The winter edition is usually held between February/March while the summer edition is held between September/October. The events designated to womenswear and, more generally, to women fashion are the key point of the fashion show. Those are: ‘Womenswear’, ‘Milan SS Women Ready to Wear’, and ‘Milano Moda Donna’. Aside from women fashion, several events for men apparel are also worth to be noticed: ‘Menswear’ and ‘Milano Moda Uomo’.
