Indicative plan

The cantonal indicative plan is the governing instrument of the Government Council for the management and coordination of long-term spatial development. The content is divided according to strategic considerations according to the topics of settlement, landscape, transport and supply and disposal. The content of the indicative plan is binding for cantonal and local authorities. The planning and coordination intentions are laid out in the indicative plan for a planning horizon of 15 to 25 years. The Indicative Plan is also an appropriate instrument for informing and involving the population at an early stage. This allows the different claims to be weighed against each other with a view to achieving the best possible overall benefit for the public.
