The PDAID ("Precision Diagnosis of Acute Infectious Diseases") study is a prospective, multi-institutional study launched in June 2017 to analyze the clinical utility and comparative effectiveness of a laboratory-validated metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) assay for infectious disease diagnosis in acutely ill hospitalized patients. Deposited under this BioProject are nonhuman sequencing reads corresponding to metagenomes from infected patient and control samples.
