TAU (Troyan–Apriltsi–Ugarchin): Farmers qualitative data structured according to standardised indicators.

The database contains information on 35 farmers from the Central Balkan region of Bulgaria. The data were extracted secondarily from in-depth interviews that had already been conducted. The secondary data extraction was carried out using the following indicators: the farmer’s occupation; the type of farming practice they have (commercial farm or household holding); the municipality in which the farm is located; the number of raw products produced by the farmer; the types of food offered to end customers; the type of farming practice (crop farming or livestock farming, including the specific products they raise or grow); the size of the holding (in terms of cultivated land and number of animals); the farmer’s family status (husband, wife, children, relatives); the type of farming system (organic or conventional); labour force (permanent and temporary/seasonal workers); and the types of short supply chains in which the farmer participates.
