This dataset is developed from the MOD13A1 product of the MODIS Terra satellite, utilizing the Maximum Value Composite (MVC) method to produce global annual NDVI data with a 500-meter spatial resolution for the period 2000–2024. This approach selects the maximum NDVI value within each calendar year, effectively mitigating the influences of cloud cover, atmospheric noise and viewing angles, and optimally represents the spatial distribution of peak vegetation growth for each year.
