To study the effects of different light intensity on leaf color changes in Chinese cabbage yellow cotyledon mutant, RNA-seq analysis was performed to identify the critical differentially expressed genes (DEGs) involved in the carotenoid biosynthetic pathway, which putatively regulated the leaf color changes in response to different light intensity. These results facilitate understanding the effects of carotenoid on the formation of yellow leaf phenotype and provide insights into the regulatory mechanisms of leaf color changes in Chinese cabbage yellow cotyledon mutant.
