This dataset was created by the Distributed and Parallel Systems Group at the University of Innsbruck, with the aim of providing benchmark data for floating-point data compression algorithms. All data is sourced from a variety of publicly available scientific data repositories, such as the NASA/IPAC Infrared Science Archive and the Radio Telescope Data Center, among others.
