Using the COI Leray XT primer set, we aimed at characterizing the invertebrate taxa composition in two fjords (Kongsfjord and Rijpfjord) in Svalbard. The eDNA results are further compared to the results from traditional taxonomic surveys. The eDNA surveys are a part of the MAREANO project, which aims at characterizing the physical, chemical and biological properties of the seafloor in the Barents Sea and Svalbard.
