Identifying DNA binding sites for CBX2 in NT2/D1 Sertoli-like cells

CBX2 is a chromatin modifier, which has recently been proven to be important for human sexual development and its disorders. Unfortunately, the exact function and downstream targets of CBX2 are still unknown. To gain insights into the CBX2-dependent transcriptional network, we performed the DNA adenine methyltransferase (DamID) technique coupled with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). We could identify close to 1600 direct targets for each of the two CBX2 isoforms, providing new insights into the role of CBX2 in the sexual development pathway.
