Site Data from an Archaeological Evaluation at Shenton Lane, Market Bosworth, Leicestershire, January 2022

This collection comprises images, spreadsheets, and GIS data collected from an archaeological evaluation of land at Shenton Lane, Market Bosworth, Leicestershire. Work was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in January 2022. The trenches were targeted to test geophysical anomalies and to provide a representative sample of the remainder of the site. A ditch in Trench 1 and pit in Trench 6 produced a Mesolithic/Early Neolithic flint blade and an undated flint flake respectively. Pottery fragments dating between the 12th -13th centuries and medieval / post-medieval ceramic building material were recovered from the investigated furrows.
