资源简介:
HFR004: Nitrogen is being added as ammonium nitrate at rates of 50 and
150 kg/ha-yr in oak-maple and red pine stands. Measurements include nitrogen mineralization, litter decomposition, tree growth, foliar chemistry, litter chemistry, and CH4, CO2, and N2O fluxes.
The Harvard Forest LTER site (HFR) is primarily Eastern deciduous forest. Research topics include: long-term climate change; disturbance history and vegetation dynamics; comparison of community, population, and plant architechtural responses to human and natural disturbances; forest-atmosphere trace gas fluxes; organic matter accumulation, decomposition and mineralization; element cycling, fine root dynamics and forest microbiology.
