E. coli butanol-responsive promoter library

This study elucidates the binding site of transcription factor, BmoR, to identify functional mutations to engineer promoters with desired properties. A diverse library of the butanol-inducible promoter, pBMO, was sorted into bins based on GFP expression levels in the presence of butanol in E. coli. The promoter sequences of the pre- and post-sorted expression bins are deposited here.
