Targeted sequencing of microbial sequences from environmental Brassicaceae leaf samples

We designed an RNA bait library to target sequences from many microbial species including Albugo candida, Albugo laibachii, Phytophthora infestans, Phytophthora capsici, Hyaloperonospora arabidopsidis, many fungi and bacteria as well as the nuclear internal transcribed spacer from several Brassicaceae species (use of 120 bp baits with no tiling, ordered from MYcroarray - custom MYbaits). In total, 115 samples were sequenced in three Illumina HiSeq 2500 lanes (using the rapid mode, 150 bp paired-end - PathSeq1 [enq_496] with 22 multiplexed samples, PathSeq2 [enq_889] with 46 samples and PathSeq 3 [enq_1238] with 47, library fragment size ~600 bp).
