A total of 35 pairs of Sedum plants and their corresponding soil sample data were collected in September 2021 at three geographically distinct sites (Chunan, Quzhou, Jiuxi) within Zhejiang Province, China Plant and soil samples were taken into the laboratory for processing within 24 hours. For plant samples, shoots and roots were separated according to the method described by Bulgarelli et al.. Meanwhile, all plant samples were divided into two parts, one part for DNA extraction, and one part with soil samples to be analyzed for metal content. And this resulted in 70 plant samples (30 from QZ, 30 from CA, and 10 from JX).
