In this study we used the SureSelectXT Target-Enrichment approach to improve the sensitivity of C. trachomatis whole genome sequencing from clinical specimens. This method offers the opportunity for wider understanding of C. trachomatis population structure, transmission and of the evolution of antimicrobial resistance.
