The study was performed to quantify the concentration of iron in selected iron fortified foods available in Sri Lankan market and determine their contribution to the Recommended Daily Allowance per serving. To perform the experiment, six types of milk powder brands (iron fortified - A, B, C, D, E & non-iron fortified - F), two types of biscuits (iron fortified - G & non-iron fortified- H) and three types of breakfast cereals (iron fortified - I, J, K) were selected.
