The fight against phytopathogenic microorganisms represents a major challenge for the protection of agricultural crops. Traditional control methods, such as the use of pesticides, are often associated with significant drawbacks for human health and the environment, while also posing the risk of new resistant strains emerging. In the face of these challenges, the use of biological control agents offers a promising and environmentally friendly alternative. Among these agents, bacteria of the Bacillus genus have proven to be effective in combating phytopathogens. Algeria, with its vast land area and diverse geographical location encompassing three distinct climatic zones, holds significant potential for the isolation of bacterial strains and the discovery of new molecules. Therefore, the objective of this research project is to search for and screen bacteria capable of playing a crucial role in the biological control of phytopathogenic fungi.
