Gut Microbiota Modulation of Free Formed lactic acid bacteria

This study aimed to compare the gastrointestinal survivability of encapsulated versus free forms of Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium lactis and investigate their strain-specific effects on gut microbiota composition and short-chain fatty acid production using an in vitro digestion and fecal fermentation model.
