Study 1 Pearson Correlations (<i>r</i>) of Faculty Members' Video Ratings and Number of Years Since Ph.D.

Note: A set of Pearson correlations were conducted that included five variables including two response items per each of the two videos, and the number of years since Ph.D. Study 1 faculty respondents (N = 40) were asked to watch a work-focused lab video (“Work-focused”) and a work/life-interaction-focused lab video (“Work/life-interaction”) and rate the degree to which each video resembles (a) how they were trained as graduate students (“How faculty were trained”) and (b) how they train their own graduate students today (“How faculty train students”), for a total of four response items per respondent. Ratings were based on a scale of 1 = Not at all to 5 = Exactly. “Number of years since Ph.D.” is the number of years since the respondent received his or her Ph.D. at the time the survey was completed. Boldface indicates significance at p<.05. Boldface italic indicates significance at p<.01.
