A dataset of 1km Grid Drainage Density in China(2022）

The density of river networks is the result of the combined effects of factors such as watershed topography, climate, soil, and vegetation. As a comprehensive indicator, the calculation of river network density is of great significance for regional environmental protection and water resource allocation. This article uses the third national land survey database of 2884 counties and districts nationwide to extract data on surface features of rivers, extract river skeleton lines, and use grid tool software to calculate, obtaining the 2022 1km grid river network density dataset in China. This dataset can be used for national and regional hydrological and geomorphological analysis, the impact of climate change on terrain, estimation of soil erosion, and evaluation of water resource endowment.
