Replication Package for Asymmetric Income-Emissions using CS-ARDL, CS-NARDL and Fourier CS-NARDL Estimation

This repository contains the replication code and data for an applied panel-econometrics study examining whether carbon dioxide emissions respond asymmetrically to rising versus falling income, whether this asymmetry depends on which fossil fuel dominates a country's energy supply, and whether it holds uniformly across income levels and is robust to small-sample bias correction. The panel covers 153 economies observed annually from 1990–2022. Estimators include cross-sectionally augmented ARDL (CS-ARDL), its asymmetric extension (CS-NARDL), and a Fourier-augmented version (FCS-NARDL), alongside distributed-lag and pooled mean group benchmarks.
