Pro-Kremlin Gender-Based Disinformation

The Pro-Kremlin Gender-Based Disinformation dataset contains 522 pro-Kremlin gender-based disinformation articles. These articles have been identified by the European Union’s East Strategic Communications Task Force as pro-Kremlin disinformation and are publicly accessible on the EU vs Disinformation website. To compile this dataset, three graduate-level researchers at Queen’s University used nine keywords related to sexual violence, sexuality, and gender identity/expression to retrieve 522 disinformation articles. These articles were coded by primary subject, date, primary language, keyword, primary subject, and primary narrative in 2024. The dataset contains all the articles retrieved by these keywords from June 1st, 2015 to June 1st, 2024.
