The RNA-seq data of taplt muant root for the article "Functional characterization of the effects of gene TaPLT8 on iron distribution in different wheat organs"

Wheat seeds (cultivar ‘Fielder’ and transgenic lines) for hydroponic experiments were surface sterilized for 30 min in 10% H2O2, followed by five rinses with distilled water, and germinated on wet filter paper in darkness at 16 ℃ for four days. The seedings were then placed in Hoagland’s nutrient solution with the following composition: 4 mmol L−1 Ca(NO3)2, 6 mmol L−1 KNO3, 1 mmol L−1 NH4H2PO4, 2 mmol L−1 MgSO4, 10 mmol L−1 H3BO3, 1.8 mmol L−1 MnSO4, 5 mmol L−1 ZnSO4, 0.31 mmol L−1 CuSO4, 0.2 mmol L−1 NaMoO4, and 50 mmol L−1 EDTA-Fe(III), pH = 6.0, and the solutions were renewed every 3 days. The plants were grown in a phytotron with a photoperiod of 16 h light (22 °C) and 8 h darkness (18 °C) for 4 weeks. The datasets generated are also available at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) SRA repository under accession number PRJNA953366.
