资源简介:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has proposed to increase the channel depth of the Delaware River and widen bends in the channel at certain locations. This has raised concerns about the impacts of dredging activity and upland disposal of dredge materials on the water quality of the channel, the bay, and the region's groundwaters. Hazardous chemical species may return to the human population through consumption of seafood or contaminated water. This study examines 40 published scientific reports on heavy metals, radionuclides, pesticides, and other hazardous materials to assess potential impacts. Grant No. NA96RG0029
