Comparison of Corynebacterium glutamicum cultivated under copper starvation with copper sufficiency

To identify genes which are differentially expressed in Corynebacterium glutamicum in the absence of copper, we performed DNA microarray analyses of cells cultivated under copper starvation conditions compared to copper sufficiency. RNA was isolated from cells cultivated in CGXII minimal medium with 2% glucose (w/v) with and without the addition of 150 µM BCS and 1 mM ascorbic acid. The cells were harvested in the stationary growth phase at an OD600 of 20. Four biological replicates were performed.
