Is ChatGPT a good friend?: Potential Generative AI Usage to Increase Help-Seeking in those with Hikikomori and Internet Addiction

This is an exploratory study that looks at whether framing the source of mental health advice will affect perceived quality and emotional support and whether receiving advice from AI chatbots would be perceived favorably among those who are at high severity compared to those who are at low severity of Hikikomori, a form of extreme social withdrawal, and internet addiction.
